I’ll be kicking off the Salisbury Writer’s Festival by talking about the ebook revolution and what it means for readers and authors.

Currently, one in six Americans uses an e-reader and in a recent survey of Australians, 20% reported buying ebooks in the previous six months. E-readers are here to stay—love it, or hate it.

So, what advantages do they offer readers? Why are they so popular and what brands are leading the market?

Phillipa will also examine the revolution of authors self-publishing ebooks on platforms like Kindle and Smashwords. Is this the way forward for both unpublished and published authors alike? Phillipa will share some amazing success stories from around the world, while also giving an insight into the realities of this amazing phenomenon.
