Would you kill me?

Okay…so I’m nearly finished the online experiment that is Coming Home – and book 6 in the Sophie Anderson series.

This week is officially the last week of my  interactive ebook – i.e. I’m working on the last chapter, although I’ve got a sneaking suspicion I may need an extra chapter or a epilogue. However, I haven’t started working on the last chapter yet and I’m considering NOT posting it on Monday.

 Three reasons:

  1. It’s a long weekend here in Melbourne and I really want the full weekend off!
  2. I’m thinking it may create much better dramatic tension to hold off on posting the final piece of the puzzle/case.
  3. Then I can write the final few pages after editing what I’ve written so far – and I’ll be coming from a better place editorially speaking.

What do you think? Would you kill me? Send me an email at info@pdmartin.com.au or comment below! And as they say…speak now or forever hold your peace.

  1. Of course we won’t (kill you). Do what you gotta do. Don’t worry about us. We’ll survive (somehow).

    Enjoy your weekend Phillippa.

  2. I think it is a good idea to wait and finish the final chapter/chapters so enjoy your weekend with your family. Liz.

  3. Not a chance. I just discovered your books and am speedily reading through them (mid-Fan Mail now). So take your time. I still have the other two to wait on and read (I’m in the US)! If you need a body guard, let me know. I’m going to want more Sophie.

  4. Have a great weekend, you deserve it! I don’t think time off is punishable by death at this stage.

  7. Of course we won’t kill you! Go! Enjoy your weekend! The book will be all the better for the wait and you know what they say, “Good things are worth waiting for!” So enjoy your time with family and friends and we’ll be waiting when you’re ready to return.

  12. Being a fellow Melbournian I completely agree on having the long weekend off and hope you enjoy it, hope you didnt get caught in the weather we had today like I did, and like all your other readers will look forward to the ending of Coming Home.

  13. So we’ll get the whole book on April 2? That’s gonna be a tough month, but I guess it’s better that way, because the first chapters might get changed quite a bit.
    Enjoy your weekend!
